It's Shrimp. Quit Asking.

Added to my vast library of useless knowledge:

One half-cooked shrimp, when placed in a microwave, will explode after 8 seconds of cook time. Figuring high power and average wattage.

I made myself my favorite Lean Cuisine for lunch today. Szechuan-Style Stir Fry with Shrimp. One of the little buggers wouldn't cook, but the rest were shrinking up into oblivion. I, being the intelligent woman I am, decided to take that one lone shrimp out of the tray, lay it on a paper towel (I have SOME manners!), and cook it just a little longer.

8....take wrapper off cooked dinner....7.....grab fork from counter....6.....stir up the noodly goodness....5.....stir more.....4.....stir.....3.....hear popping sound.....2.....look into microwave to investigate....1.....reach for "stop" button....0.....

SPLAT!! Shrimpy bits all over the microwave.

Lemme tell ya. It smells gooo-ooood in my office now. If one more person asks "what's that smell...."
