Well hooray! I've been tagged in a fun little Meme by Heather over at Visions of Sugarplums! My mission, should I choose to accept it, is this:
Open my first photo folder
Scroll down to the 10th photo
Post that photo and story on my blog
Tag five friends to do the same
So, folder #1 on my work computer is "Background Images." It's where I keep the pictures I've used (or plan to use) as my desktop background. They're favorites of mine, so this is a great folder to choose from!
Scrolling down to image #10 brings us to this beauty!
"Three-Fourths" 3 of the 4 members of The Foxy Foursome
This picture was taken in "The Zen Room" at the home of a friend of ours from Pathways. Shaun did a fantastic job of picking out the paint color (see that fantastic shade of green??), and outfitting the room with super comfortable furniture for our enjoyment. It's nice and private, and it's been used several times for some heart-to-heart bonding time...complete with tears. Shaun almost expects it to happen and has even let us know he bought a coordinating box of Kleenex for our convenience.
Shaun...The Zen Room's owner and designer
One evening Becky and I had gone to dinner at Il Vicino, and ended up meeting Rachel at Shaun's for some late-night movie/Guitar Hero action. Of course we had to spend 2 hours 15 minutes catching up in The Zen Room, and Shaun caught a picture of a little Foxy Foursome bonding time. We'd be fools to not take advantage of a chair that easily fits three!
Now then, on to the tagging fun! I do hereby tag:
Tooj @ Circling the Square Table -- She's gorgeous, and so are her boys, so you know there are some fantastic pictures lurking in those folders!
Alicia @ Imma Momma -- She's another gorgeous one, with a gorgeous family! She's also a fantastic photographer, so you can only imagine what sort of shot she'll come up with!
Ocean Dreamer @ Ocean Dreams -- I am selfishly hoping that this one will be another Big Kiddo/Little Kiddo picture. They're just adorable together!
Michelle @ A & MD Ranch -- She's a new blogger buddy of mine and I love that she and I share the same country roots! I'm sure she's got some pictures that'll remind me of why I love the country life!
Lil' Woman @ Little Woman, Little Home -- Lil' and I go way back in the blog-o-sphere. She was the first Poodle that wasn't a friend of mine in real life. That means she was my first voluntary Poodle...the rest of them were required to like me. I love her little family...I'm sure she won't disappoint with some photographic goodness!
I'm also going to break bend the rules a little and say that I would love it if everyone else participated in this little Meme as well! I would absolutely enjoy looking at everyone's pictures, so please feel free! Also, if you decide you're going to participate, leave me a comment or an email letting me know, and I'll link up to you.
This GM Post is brought to you by our dear friends at Blogger Scheduled Posts.

And now, for yet another Meme. I generally don't like these things, but since not everyone knows me IRL, this is a good way to save you all from reading some seriously rambling "about me" posts!
Enjoy! Happy weekend!

8 Things I'm Looking Forward To:
Spending some quality time at home tonight. Yes, on a Friday night. I need it!
Love Wichita tomorrow! Can't wait to spend the day cleaning up and making our city a little bit better.
Getting back into updo season! I have two sweet girls that have entrusted me with their very special day and I just can't wait to do their hair for them tomorrow morning!
Not setting an alarm for Sunday morning. Hooray for sleeping in!
**L-Dubb's Disclaimer: Since Urban Dictionary is written entirely by teenagers, pot heads, and people with generally too much time on their hands, you'll probably need to wade through some questionable definitions and choose the one you're okay with the entire blog-o-sphere reading. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.**
-------------------
Directions: Answer each question by typing in your answer on Urbandictionary.com. You MUST use the first definition!**
1. Your name?Lindsay
A girl who is hotter than the flames of hell.
The marvelous and mysterious temptress from the land of eternal joy.
It's a new fad. Apparently, you just run...for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.
--Wild isn't how I would describe it. Ugh.
4. Favorite color? Green
Green is a color made of blue and yellow.
--Confession: This was not the first definition of "green." If you search it, you'll know why.
5. Birthplace? Kansas
The 34th State admitted to the United States of America. Known for wheat, brilliant skies, and flat lands. Contrary to popular belief, people who live in Kansas do receive power, internet, and water. Kansas is the home of the University of Kansas, arguably one of the best teams in the NCAA.
The best month of the year! Snow, getting ready for Christmas, celebrating Thanksgiving, and having Thanksgiving break.
--Gee. I wonder how old the author of this definition was? 7. Last person you texted? Contact #115
Anglicized form of the Irish name CaoimhĂn, derived from the older Irish Coemgen, composed of the Old Irish elements Coem: "kind, gentle, handsome" and Gein "Birth." Saint Caoimhin established a monastery in Ireland and is held the Patron Saint of Dublin.
--You think I'm naming names for the entire internets to see? Sorry folks. No can do. :)
8. One of your nicknames? Muffin
A sympathetic nickname for someone.
--Riveting.
9. What are you doing this weekend? Bridesmaid Dress Shopping
The act of going out and buying stuff. --Again, riveting.
10. Random word:Snorgle
To Snorgle is to snuggle a cute item in a matter meant to drink in, or experience it's overwhelming cuteness. Imagine picking up a cute puppy and sticking your face down into it's furriness and snorgling it up. See Cute Overload.
I realize that the whole "25 Things" craze has finally died down, but since GM is relatively new I thought you'd like some insider info on who is behind all these delightful ramblings! :)
Enjoy!
I am absolutely in love with an amazing Savior! God has blessed me far beyond what I deserve and I pray daily He would make me into everything He intended me to be.
My "husband" lives on a ranch outside of Poteet, Texas. You might know him, his name is George Strait. (Jodi, that would make him your BROTHER-IN-LAW. Get it right.)
I have the best parents in the entire world. They've been married 31 years in September and still look at each other like they were newlyweds. Their marriage inspires me to hold out for God's best! (I believe they secretly enjoy kissing and playing "smoochy face" just to disgust Adam and I.)
My younger brother is a pastor. I makes me smile (and cry a little) to remember him in his cut-off jean shorts and "Ernie shirt" while he stands behind the pulpit and gives his sermons. God broke the mold when he made Adam...I love him a lot!
Adam and I made up a brother/sister dance when we were very young that we still do to this day. It has several variations and if you're around both of us long enough, you'll be blessed with it. The Rump Shaker has been performed in many different places including Wal-Mart, the Sanctuary at our church in Newton, and the parking lot at Newell's.
I am VERY accident prone but I have never had any major injuries. I've never broken a bone, I've never had stitches, and I've never spent the night in the hospital. (Knock on wood!)
My only real talent is that I'm able to wiggle my eyes back and forth VERY quickly. The only other person I've ever met that can also do this is my brother. (I'm better at it than he is! :) )
I used to do hair for a living, and I'm still a licensed hair dresser. If you catch me squinting at your head I'm probably imagining what I'd do with your hair if you'd let me.
My 2008 Tax Return and Economic Stimulus Check are in a pasture right now...I bought a horse with the money! Miss Kitty was the best use of a Tax Return EVER!
I believe that Shepler's, not Disney Land, is the happiest place on earth! I purposefully don't go there as much as I'd like to because I can't leave without buying something.
I have an unhealthy obsession with Starbucks. It was so bad 2 years ago that Mandy and I would drive to Wichita specifically to get Starbucks and then come back home. I really don't want to get better. :)
I am not very well traveled. I have never seen the ocean, and the farthest away from Kansas I've been in Chicago. I plan to change all that in July...El Salvador, here I come!!
All of my cars have had names. I won't name them until I've driven them awhile so I know their "personalities." They've all been female...Beulah, Vanessa, Betty, Jolynn, and Honey.
I cry VERY easily, and for an assortment of reasons. I'll cry at movies that aren't supposed to be sad ("50 First Dates"), live music, pictures/slide shows set to music, and commercials. My brother still gives me a hard time for crying over the GM commercial from 2 Super Bowls ago.
I have a serious aversion to certain words. I can't say them, I really don't like to hear them, but I can type them if I don't think about the way the word sounds.
My brother thinks it's bizarre than I can hear a song once and remember all the words. It only works with certain songs/theme songs/jingles. When we saw "Open Season" I instantly had the song Elliot sang to Boog memorized. I still sing it to him.
I have a tendency to nickname people (and our dogs), but it has to come naturally. The nicknames I give usually aren't typical...among my "regulars" are: Monkey, Mugget, Pickle Lips, Scootie Bear, Poodle, and Sprinkles.
I am a creature of habit on certain things. During the spring/summer I take my lunch to the same place. If someone is in "my spot" I'll wait until they leave and pull in. I have to be parked so I'm lined up with a specific tree, the windows have to be cracked at least 3 inches (preferably all the way down), and the radio has to be on 1 1/2 bars of volume so I can read.
Certain words, phrases, and noises find their way into my vocabulary and become staples. I've heard them called "Lindsay-isms." Some stand-bys: "holler", "woojin", "mercy sakes", "hurt me", "own your face", "beavered/beaver it", and "OooOoo!"
I have an affection for bulldogs and little old men that look like bulldogs. The word "woojin" comes in to play here.
I am VERY tactile. It factors into physical touch being my primary Love Language. If I see something I'll touch it if it's "okay." Museums and art galleries are frustrating to me because I can't touch things. It's probably part of why I love Exploration Place to much!
I've had a dog that was so fat she had cellulite. Adam called it her "farunkles." The same dog had "rocket boosters" when she would hop up on the couch. :)
One of my favorite pets (other than the dogs) was a hairless rat I named Nacho. He had a ton of personality and was VERY smart. He loved to eat pancakes, tomatoes, and green beans. He had a harness and leash so I could take him out in the front yard to play in the grass. He was pretty high maintenance...he needed baths often and had to have lotion rubbed on him once a week so he wouldn't get dry skin. My Dad hated him so much he wouldn't even look at him. :)
This note has taken me an eternity to finish...I've practically beavered it to death. I've been writing things down for 2 days in order to get to 25 of them...I didn't want to use too many things that were common knowledge.
I'm addicted to Iced Caramel Macchiatos, my heart is equally divided between two ornery horses, I haven't found a place I love more than a pasture on horseback, I am fluent in acronym, I often speak in "Lindsayisms," I have fallen hopelessly in love with Pandora Radio, and everything I have I owe to God's grace!
