You Say Lame, I Say Lamé.

Ironically appropriate: the words "lame" and lamé" are spelled exactly the same way.

Lame (lām) adjective: slang - not being in the know. Outdated.

Lamé (la mā, lä-) noun: a fabric of silk, wool, or cotton interwoven with metallic threads, as of gold or silver.

All that to say, my dress for Thrift Store Prom came last night!! It was my first venture into the land of Ebay. I won the auction for one of the ugliest dresses I've ever laid eyes upon. The dress is two fold. A gathered black knee-length number underneath; then, we top it off with a gold lamé bat wing (who know that's what you call it!) jacket.

It's hot, really it is.

Now, in the interest of keeping the mystery alive, I'm not posting pictures of the ENTIRE dress, but I will, however, leave you some snippets.

Enjoy!

The left "wing" of my dress. Yes, my dress has wings

A nice close-up shot of the front/center of my gold lamé masterpiece!
