Friend Makin' Monday : Confessions

Welcome Poodles and Friend Makers alike, to a brand new week, and a brand new edition of.....

This week, Kasey has decided to wade in just a little bit deeper with FMM and ask us to confess some of our deepest, darkest secrets. Nothing like a little "light blogging" first thing on a Monday morning, huh? :)

So, without further ado, I give you a little peek at the skeleton's in my closet. I worry you all will "unfollow" GM after this one know you all will still love me, even if I'm not completely perfect. Right??

Confessions:

  1. I am completely capable of eating an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's "Half Baked" without any help whatsoever. I follow the "eat what you don't like, then what you do like, save the very best for last" rule...vanilla ice cream ribbons first, chocolate brownie pieces next, and then you go after the chocolate chip cookie dough chunks. Mmmm!
  2. Speaking of ice cream....yesterday I ate Cold Stone for dinner. Nothing else. Just Coldstone. I had "Banana Caramel Crunch" in Jell-o Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream, and it was fantastic. It was not so fantastic when Rachel and I headed out to run our first workout of Week #5. Yuck.
  3. I love the smell of my dog's feet. Seriously, they smell warm and popcorn-y. When Lucy is relaxing on her back with her cute little feet in the air I just have to go catch a sniff. She looks at me like I'm completely insane....and so does the rest of my family!
  4. One day, during a particularly slow day at work, I watched all of "St. Elmo's Fire" on the computer at my desk. Hulu is, quite possibly, the best invention ever!
  5. I've been known to tell people I "have plans" and can't join them for something when really my plans are to go see a movie by myself. A "Me Date" is a plan, right?
  6. I have a nearly-impossible-to-resist weakness for Spicy Chicken Sandwiches at Wendy's. No lettuce, extra mayo. So healthy!
  7. Last, but not least, one of my favorite stations I've created on Pandora is also the most embarrassing. It's nothing but music I would use in my wedding someday, and songs that make me cry. Think "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle, "We've Got Tonight" by Bob Seger, and "Beauty and the Beast" by Celine Dion. I named the station "Mushy."

Wow. That's all the Monday morning confessional I can handle on one cup of coffee! Please be gentle with your comments...I'm only human, Poodles!

Happy FMM!

Ha ha, you made me laugh. It's good to know that I'm not the only person who plays around at work sometimes. That's sweet about your doggie's fee too. You go girl on the ice cream! I love Coldstone. Happy Monday, or should I say halfway to Tuesday?

I'm not judging, but you smell your dogs feet?! and they smell like popcorn? where does your dog walk? and I'm thinking a me-date sounds really grand right now! I won't tell if you don't!

I started week 6 of Couch to 5k lastnight. It was pretty okay. We did our 20 minute run this past Sat. it went good too. How about you. have you done the 20 min run yet?

Long live ice cream...Cold Stone, Ben & Jerry's, Haagen Daasz, I don't discriminate...bring it all on! Glad to hear I'm not alone!

Now I just have to get out for those runs like you do!

The dog's feet though...hmm, I'll just let you keep smelling them, LOL!

Thanks for the visit. Happy FMM!

Oh boy I've been thinking about Hulu but I haven't visited until now.

I'm in trouble. I think I might just spend all my time there now. Closed Caption THANK YOU! ;)

Mushy stations are necessary.

You had me at ice cream and Spicy Chicken Sandwich!

I go on Me Dates all the time! I hate seeing movies with other people...they just talk all the time. And I don't like to share the arm rest or my pop corn.

You so funny...I'm going to follow you but not in a stalkerly kind of way.

hmm, the dog's feet - I've never heard that one before!

Ice cream is a weakness of mine, too.

I don't think I've met you before, but reading this post didn't turn me off of your blog! :)

I could probably eat a tub of sherbet by myself, but over a few days. A Me Date sound delightful. I might have to take myself on one soon! :) Have a Great Week, Lins!

Jessica said...

Lins, seriously? Your dogs feet? :) One of the morning DJs on the radio station that I listen to says the SAME thing about her dog's feet. I've always thought that was so weird, but I'm just going to trust the two of you!

Happy FMM!

Your dog is so cute! i have two monitors at my desk, so sometimes when I'm doing something mundane like account reconcilations, I'll watch/listen to some show on the other monitor. It's usually an episode of The Office or Pushing Daisies...

Great Blog!

Popcorny. That is a brilliant word and much more accurate than things I;ve come up with in the past. (warm, dusty cement...)

A date with yourself absolutely counts as plans.

Hulu is great! :) and yes - Dave Ramsey is the envelope king...but if I'm in charge of the money it all gets wiggled around. :)

Well I think your mushy station sounds great. Very sweet songs perfect wedding songs. :)

Thanks for stopping by if my husbands dog was half a loveable as your dog looks I don't think I would wish for a great escape. :)

Great List. I love Spicy Chicken Sandwiches from Wendys. They are the best.

My mother brought me up with the idea that, if you'd rather have dessert, just have that instead of a meal. My breakfast for the last three days has been triple berry pie. :-D

Love your list!!

So I totally had to smell my dogs feet after reading this, and I'm going to say no to doing it again. Not a popcorn smell in any way.

I love your blog! New follower. Who is Martha and where did she go?

Hi,
Great confessions! Your dogs feet? Hmmm...I'll just have to take your word for it!

Ok, that is so weird about the dog's feet. I'm totally checking out Hulu cause I've never heard of it. And I totally eat ice cream the same way! Happy FMM! Great list!

Loved all your confessions! I too can have ice cream for dinner! Plus Coldstones is the bomb!!!

Xazmin said...

Ooh, I LOVE me some Wendy's Spicy Chicken! I don't order it w/out lettuce, but I take the lettuce off, so I get that little bit of green vegetable taste (that has fiber, right?), without actually having to eat the lettuce!

I'm totally going to have to smell my dog's feet now, because the rest of her stinks to high heaven!

Amber Filkins said...

Ha, you're too funny! I'm always on the look out for what people get at Cold Stone. I haven't found my perfect combination. Well, I have, but sometimes I like to mix it up.

I can't believe you eat your ice cream in order!! lol

I also cannot believe you smell your dog's feet!! You're weird! :)

And laughing at your mushy mix. Beauty and the Beast......at your wedding!? :)

Ice cream for dinner what else could be better, you can always run it off later.
I am glad that I am not the only one that does a me date. Hey, plans are plans and you don't want to break them no matter who they are with.
Have a great day!

I really wanted to participate in this one, but I just couldn't find the time. I loved your confessions! I too am guilty of ice cream for dinner and the "plans" line.

Christie in Dallas, TX said...

Wow, what a way to come clean with your FMM friends! I am so jealous that you had ice cream for dinner! I love that smell on my dogs -- I call it "puppy smell" and my husband thinks I'm weird. And hooray for Hulu -- what did we do without it?!

Smelling the dogs feet? Oh my, I cannot stop laughing. Now that's a confession! LOL
